Amany Fahmy – أماني فهمي

Amany Fahmy, born in Cairo, is a visual artist and Professor of Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University. Since 1996 until 2025, she has held over 10 solo exhibitions, including “Another Day” at Al-Bab – Selim Gallery (2023), “The Land of Vanishing” (2019) and “The Earth’s Surface” (2018) at the Faculty of Fine Arts Gallery in Zamalek, “Features of Walls” at Al-Ard Gallery, Sakiet Abdel Moneim El-Sawy (2007), “Aesthetics from the Pyramids” at the Egyptian Center for International Cultural Cooperation (2006), “Between Reality and Formal Brevity” at Ahmed Sabry Gallery, Gezira Art Center (2003).

She has participated in numerous editions of the General Exhibition, the Youth Salon, and various events in Egypt and abroad, as well as group exhibitions in private galleries and international art shows. Notable participations include The 2nd Dr. Suad Al-Sabah Biennale for Arab Artists in Kuwait (2019), The Benetton Foundation Exhibition – Artists from African Nations in Rome (2014), Artist with the Rank of Professor Exhibition at the Egyptian Academy of Arts in Rome (2012), The Annual Korea Art Festival (2005), “From the Egyptian Environment” in France (1989–1990).

Between 2015 and 2018, Dr. Amani worked as an Associate Professor at the College of Design and Arts, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh. She is a member of the Syndicate of Fine Artists (Egypt), the Nature and Heritage Lovers Association in Cairo, and the Saudi Scientific Society for Art and Design in Riyadh.

Her works have been acquired by the Museum of Modern Egyptian Art in Gezira (Ministry of Culture), Helwan University (Faculty of Fine Arts Museum in Zamalek), and private collectors in Egypt, France, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

أماني فهمي من مواليد القاهرة، فنانة تشكيلية تعمل بمجال التدريس كأستاذ للتصوير بكلية الفنون الجميلة، جامعة حلوان، قدمت أكثر من ١٠ معارض فردية منذ عام ١٩٩٦ وحتى ٢٠٢٥، منها معرض “يوم آخر” بقاعة الباب – سليم (٢٠٢٣)، معرض “أرض الزوال” (٢٠١٩) و “أديم الأرض” (٢٠١٨) بقاعة كلية الفنون الجميلة بالزمالك، معرض “فنان بدرجة أستاذ” بالأكاديمية المصرية للفنون بروما (٢٠١٢)، معرض “ملامح جدران” بقاعة الارض بساقية عبد المنعم الصاوي (٢٠٠٧)، معرض “بين الواقع والإيجاز الشكلي” بقاعة أحمد صبري بمركز الجزيرة للفنون (٢٠٠٣) . شاركت في العديد من دورات المعرض العام وصالون الشباب والعديد من الفعاليات داخل مصر وخارجها والمعارض الجماعية بالقاعات الخاصة ومعارض الفنون عالمياً، أبرزها بينالي الدكتورة سعاد الصباح الثاني للفنانين العرب بالكويت (٢٠١٩)، معرض مؤسسة بينيتون للفنون – فنانو الدول الأفريقية بروما (٢٠١٤)، معرض جماليات من الأهرامات بالمركز المصري للتعاون الثقافي الدولي (٢٠٠٦)، معرض ومهرجان الفنون السنوي لكوريا الجنوبية (٢٠٠٥)، ومعرض من البيئة المصرية – فرنسا (١٩٨٩ – ١٩٩٠).

بين الاعوام ٢٠١٥ و٢٠١٨، قامت د. أماني بالعمل كأستاذ مشارك بكلية التصميم والفنون بجامعة الأميرة نورة بنت عبد الرحمن بالرياض. هي عضو في نقابة الفنانين التشكيليين، وجمعية محبي الطبيعة والتراث بالقاهرة، والجمعية العلمية السعودية للفن والتصميم بالرياض. تم اقتناء أعمالها من قبل متحف الفن المصري الحديث بالجزيرة – وزارة الثقافة، وجامعة حلوان- متحف كلية الفنون الجميلة بالزمالك، كما لديها مقتنيات لدى أفراد بمصر وفرنسا، ولبنان، والسعودية، والكويت.
