Nagi Farid – ناجى فريد

ولد في القاهرة عام ١٩٦٤، ناجي فريد هو نحات مصري يعمل ويجرب بخامات وتقنيات مختلفة، وهو عضو في المجلس الأعلى للثقافة ونقابة الفنانين التشكيليين في مصر

عرض ناجي فريد منحوتاته في العديد من المعارض المحلية والدولية ومنها بينالي القاهرة الدولي للخزف في دوراته من عام ١٩٩٤ الى عام ٢٠٠٢ وبينالي فينيس ٢٠٠٥ ومهرجان الشتاء في سراييفو عام ٢٠٠١. ربحت أعماله ستة جوائز من صالون الشباب في نسخه من ١٩٨٩ الى ١٩٩٦ وجائزة النحت في معرض الأعمال الصغيرة في القاهرة عام ١٩٩٨ وجائزة مختار للنحت عام ١٩٩١ كما ربح الجائزة الأولى من بينالي الاكوادور عام ٢٠١١

شارك فريد في عدة سمبوزيومات دولية وتوجد أعماله اليوم ضمن مقتنيات العديد من المجموعات الفنية كما له ٢٢ عمل صرحي في عدة مدن حول العالم

Born in Cairo in 1964, Nagi Farid is an Egyptian sculptor who experiments with different materials and techniques. He is a member of the High Cultural Committee and the Plastic Art Syndicate in Egypt.

Nagi Farid’s sculptures have been displayed in local as well as international exhibitions such as the National International Biennials for Ceramics from 1994 till 2002, the Venice Biennial in 2005, and the Winter Festival in Sarajevo in 2001. His work was awarded six prizes from the Youth Artist’s Salons from 1989 till 1996, the Sculpture prize of the exhibition of small works in Cairo in 1998, the Mokhtar’s prize for sculpture in 1991 and first prize at the Ecuador Biennial in 2011.

Farid has participated in several international symposiums and his work is part of different renowned collections. His monumental pieces are to be found today in 22 different cities around the world.
