Fatma AbdelRahman – فاطمة عبد الرحمن

Born in Cairo and graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University in 1995, Fatma entered the art scene through participating in the Fifth Youth Salon in 1993. She continued to participate in several rounds of the exhibition in addition to collective and individual exhibitions in Egypt and abroad.

Fatma has received many local and international awards, the latest being the Encouragement State Award for Drawing and Photography in 2018.

In addition to her artistic contributions, Abdelrahman participates in academic teaching as a professor in the Graphic Design department at the Faculty of Fine Arts. This had a great impact on her artistic experience in multiple visions based primarily on drawing. She was and still is interested in reformulating her surroundings to be consistent with her own vision, as it is the goal and the means simultaneously. Thus, her artistic experience is loaded with reverence for nature, which is her first teacher, and her goal is to unite with it at the same time through her artwork.

مواليد القاهرة تخرجت في كلية الفنون الجميلة جامعة حلوان، الزمالك عام ١٩٩٥، بدأت مشاركتها في الحركة التشكيلية المصرية في صالون الشباب الخامس ١٩٩٣، ثم توالت المشاركات في عدة دورات ومن خلال معارض جماعية وفردية في مصر والخارج.

حصلت فاطمة على العديد من الجوائز المحلية والدولية، آخرها جائزة الدولة التشجيعية في مجال الرسم والتصوير ٢٠١٨.

بالإضافة إلى الإسهامات الفنية، تشارك عبد الرحمن في مجال التدريس الأكاديمي كأستاذ بقسم الجرافيك بكلية الفنون الجميلة، والذي كان له عظيم الأثر في ظهور تجربتها الفنية في رؤى متعددة كان قوامها فن الرسم في الأساس. كانت ومازالت تهتم بإعادة صياغة ما حولها ليتسق ورؤيتها الخاصة؛ فهو الهدف والوسيلة معا، فجاءت تجربتها الفنية محملة بتقديس الطبيعة، فهي المعلم الأول، وغايتها في التوحد معها في آن واحد من خلال أعمالها الفنية.
