Haytham Abdelhafeez – هيثم عبدالحفيظ

Born in Dayrout in the governorate of Assiut in Upper Egypt, received his primary education at the schools of the Sacred Heart in Kaduna, Nigeria before returning to Egypt and attending Dayrout’s military school for his secondary education. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts – graphics department from Al Menia University in 1993, his Master’s degree in 2000 and his PhD in Art Philosophy from the same university in 2013. Abdelhafeez lived in Germany for five years (2000-2005), founded the Cultural Palace of Ein Helwan and was its first director from 2007 to 2009. He was also the general manager of  Art Sector at the General Organization of Culture Palaces from 2009 to 2016, Head of the Central Administration for Media and Technology at the General Organization of Culture Palaces from 2016 to 2017, Head of the Central Administration for the Greater Cairo Region and North Upper Egypt Cultural 2017-2018

Since 2019, Abdelhafeez shifted his concentration and focus to being a full time artist at his studio in Madinaty. He has held nine solo exhibitions as well as participated in several group exhibitions both locally and internationally. He has also received several awards including first prize at the 17^th edition of the Youth Salon (2005) and the Salon’s award at the small art works Salon in 1998. He has also designed the shield for Abu Hamad Airport in 1994.

The artist’s name was included in the Encyclopedia of International Artists.
His artworks are owned by the Modern Art Museum, Fine Arts Sector and General Organization of Culture Palaces as well as collectors in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Romania, Poland, Italy, Germany, France, Iran, Jordan and Canada.

 ولد في صعيد مصر، ديروط ، محافظة أسيوط. تلقى تعليمه الأساسي بمدينة كادونا بدولة نيجيريا Sacred Heart بمدارس

ثم عاد إلى مصر والتحق بمدرسة ديروط الثانوية العسكرية ، حصل علي بكالوريوس الفنون الجميلة  قسم الجرافيك جامعة المنيا عام ١٩٩٣، وعلى درجة الماجستير عام ٢٠٠٠ ودرجة الدكتوراه في فلسفة الفنون من نفس الكلية عام ٢٠١٣ ، عاش بألمانيا لمدة خمس سنوات من عام ٢٠٠٠ حتى ٢٠٠٥ ، مؤسس قصر ثقافة عين حلوان وأول مدير له من ٢٠٠٧ حتى ٢٠٠٩ ،ثم مدير عام الإدارة العامة للفنون التشكيلية بالهيئة من عام ٢٠٠٩ حتى ٢٠١٦ ، رئيس الإدارة المركزية للوسائط التكنولوجيا بالهيئة من ٢٠١٦ حتى ٢٠١٧ ، رئيس الإدارة المركزية لإقليم القاهرة الكبرى وشمال الصعيد الثقافي ٢٠١٧- ٢٠١٨ ، ومنذ عام ٢٠١٩ متفرغ للفن بمرسمه في مدينتي ، أقام تسعة معارض خاصة وشارك في العديد من المعارض الجماعية علي المستوي المحلي والدولي ، حصل على العديد من الجوائز منها الجائزة الأولى في صالون الشباب السابع عشر (تجهيز في الفراغ) ٢٠٠٥، وجائزة الصالون لصالون الأعمال الفنية الصغيرة بمجمع الفنون ١٩٩٨، تصميم درع مطار أبو حماد الجوي ١٩٩٤، أُدرج اسم الفنان ضمن موسوعة الفنانين العالميين تحت مسمى (العقبة – وادي رم) (دبي بعين الطائر) (الدلمون) (الدانوب) (صوت الضوء) ، لديه مقتنيات بمتحف الفن الحديث وقطاع الفنون التشكيلية والهيئة العامة لقصور الثقافة ولدى أفراد بمصر والسعودية وتركيا ورومانيا  وبولندا وإيطاليا وألمانيا وفرنسا وإيران والأردن وكندا.
