Omar Sherif (WeirDo) –  (ويردو) عمر شريف

Omar Sherif, also known as WeirDo, was born in Egypt in 2000. He was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy at the age of 9 and was in a wheelchair 2 years after. Omar began learning about art at the age of 6, yet later he failed to adapt with his disease as his muscles went weaker and his art teacher passed away leading Omar to quit art for 4 years.

Despite these obstacles, Omar has found inspiration in the work of Basquiat and has rediscovered his passion for art. His unique style reflects his personal journey and his determination to create art on his own terms. Through his art, Omar continues to defy expectations and showcase his creativity and resilience.

عمر شريف، المعروف أيضًا باسم “ويردو”، وُلد في مصر عام ٢٠٠٠. تم تشخيصه بمرض ضمور العضلات دوشين في سن التاسعة ووضع في كرسي متحرك بعد عامين. بدأ عمر في تعلم الفن في سن السادسة، لكن لاحقًا فشل في التكيف مع مرضه حيث ضعفت عضلاته وتوفي معلمه في الفن، مما دفع عمر إلى التوقف عن ممارسة الفن لمدة سنوات

على الرغم من هذه العقبات، وجد عمر الإلهام في أعمال باسكيات واستعاد شغفه بالفن. يعكس أسلوبه الفني الفريد رحلته الشخصية وإصراره على خلق فن بطرقه الخاصة. من خلال فنه، يستمر عمر في تحدّي التوقعات وعرض إبداعه وصموده
